Oui!

I've always love the Oui ring by Dior, it's simple, elegant and would be such a cute engagement ring! When I was younger (teenage years) I had decided if I fell madly in love and decides to get married in my early 20s, this would be my perfect engagement ring as we probably don't have enough money for a massive diamond ring! How funny, of course that never happened, although technically I still have a couple of years left... ;)

Or if you prefer a traditional shaped ring, they even do an alternative one, with "oui" on the side!

Now talking about the art of display, I just found these images so stunning, what better way to bring out the fab colour of the gem stones than to compare it with pure white!

What's your (ideal) engagement ring? Vintage, colour gem, diamond... so many choices! I'd love to hear from you :)
xx

Oh, I'm in love with those floral rings! I think those would make an awesome engagement ring. I always love a little sweetness and quirkiness in my jewelry.

Those oui ring are fantastic, I just sent the link to my boyfriend and told him if he ever proposes I want one of those.
And if that fails than ideally I would love a antique ring, it would be gold, diamond and possibly ruby and very elegent. Thinking about pretty engagement rings make me actually want to marry.
I would like a wedding ring like my dad's white gold and yellow gold intwinned in a band. Its beautiful and simple.

Ohh I am so in love with the "Oui" ring!!!
I have saved it and am going to casually show it to my partner tonight and say, "if you ever have spare £530 lying around, you are more then welcome to buy me this ring."

its fabulous!!
My ideal engagement ring would be either rose gold or white gold, either a simple band with diamonds or something that really stands out with an emrald cut diamond: http://allwomenstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/articles/87.jpg this would do
(no i haven't thought about this at all :p)

Gorgeous post darling xx

i love that oui ring! that really is such a cute idea for an engagement ring!
my ideal ring is probably princess cut, maybe a rectangular diamond with a very very thin band. but i probably won't be getting one for a couple years, so we'll see...
great post, it got me daydreaming haha

I love Dior flower collections.

Answer: Don't worry no problem, but I don't know it how much may cost in Chanel store. My boyfriend buy it at last Christmas (eBay). I think very expensive and this is a bijoux.

My husband was smart enough not to propose with a ring he purchased. He knows how picky I am! After we were engaged we designed my ring together. The setting is very vintage-inspired but the three stones are a modern princess cut. So it really represents my old school meets modern style.

how pretty they all are. I love my wedding/engagement rings, but I think a right hand ring would be fun.

I'd love a vintage ring,
though I wouldn't turn down the OUI ring, it's gorgeous!

I got my ideal ring!

From when i was in my early teens, I swore that I wanted to marry a guy that was going to design my engagement ring so that it would truly be one of a kind.

The guy I ended up marrying designs spacecraft for Nasa, so he designed my ring in one of their computer modeling programs and had a jeweler make it to his specifications. He had no idea that I had been wanting my ring designed since i was a little girl!

He did ask me for what I like in a ring so he'd at least have some direction, but all I told him was that I wanted the diamond to be round, and to be in a bezel (I am not a fan of claws), and that I wanted the metal to be gold and not platinum, and then the rest was up to him.

He did SUCH a great job. My ring has a round diamond in the middle that he says represents God in our relationship. Then, around the bezel, he has little diamonds - that represent our family and friends that have supported us. Then he has our two birthstones to represent me and him. And then around the band part he put 8 diamonds that represents 2008 (he proposed April 2008). I love it!

i like a simple and thin white gold band with a small diamond on it. but the Oui! ring is just as gorgeous!

I'd never seen those oui rings - they're darling!

My engagement ring was a very traditional setting of diamonds and an oval sapphire, but I had it reset so it looks mostly like this one. And I adore it.

the white backing makes all the jewelry look just stunning. my engagement ring is a sapphire from a mine near my family's cabin and we had the setting designed based on my grandmother's wedding band (which was used during the proposal). i love my engagement ring and after the fact, i am really glad i had a hand in designing it because it turned out exactly like i wanted.

These are so sweet - love the oui one too! My perfect one would be an elegant diamond - not too big, not too small!

I've got my ring already too... seeing as I have been married for 6 1/2 years. Even to this day I love my ring just as much as the day my now husband proposed. But I do love the "oui" ring... I would've said oui to that!

Love the ring with the oui on the side. I adore diamond rings! But actually I'm not wearing any ring at all. Only for special occasions. I find them a bit uncomfortable for everyday use.

I love how the white really brings out the designs so much better. That Oui ring is adorable!

I love these! My engagement is custom made. I have a flower tattoo on my elbow and it's modeled after that. It's sapphire, white gold and diamond. It's like an awesome vintage looking-flowery thing of a ring. I think you would appreciate it :)

I am in love with the oui rings!!! I love my ring that Hub picked out all by himself, but I always wanted my grandmother's. I have decided that for my 10 year anniversary, I am going to use her stone, my stone, and a new stone for a new ring:)

Lovely,
I've always thought a simple silver band with a sapphire would be pretty. I think diamonds are overdone, I would prefer something unique.

I love those pretty little flower rings. I'd love one as a pinky ring. And Oh do I love those Oui rings. It's always refreshing to see something new.
Thanks for the great post, and also thank you for your nice words on my (baby) blog!

the oui ring is so cute! I've never heard of it before, but that'd be such a cute engagement idea!

Hm... I always loved pearls (I think it was freshman year where my distinctive trait in clothes was a pearl necklace) so I always wanted a gold ring with a tiny pearl right in the center.

H @ Narnia's Closet said...

i love the oui ring, the one with the stone, so clever and cute! it's like a little secret. i love secrets :X haha. i think my ideal engagement ring would be a vintage (or vintage inspired) ring, nothing too modern looking.

Ideal engagement ring would probably be something found at an antique store. I like diamonds, but a sapphire or emerald would be cool. They made such beautiful unique rings in the "olden days."

Nina (Femme Rationale) said...

i didn't know they made a "oui" solitaire ring. it's so cute. i'm considering the "oui" ring for a wedding ring since FM is french.

and my engagement ring is my dream engagement ring. the more i wear it the more i love it. it's a one of a kind design by a well known jeweler and the center stone is a cushion cut ceylon sapphire (which is a periwinkle color)with what seems like a thousand pave diamonds around the center stone, the "basket" and the band which has 3 rows of pave diamonds. i knew i always wanted a ceylon sapphire and FM did real good. haha

paanie said...

that display is so beautiful. something out of my time at tiffanys. i'm not sure what kind of ring i'd want. i used to think i wanted a big fat diamond, but i think that has changed. we shall see . . .

Unknown said...

Dior's flower jewellery collection was simply stunning. I wanted everything but luckily a lot of chain stores were doing knock offs.

I don't want an engagement ring. It makes me ill knowing the historic origins of rings in general - posession, violence, anger etc etc. I want a necklace or a fantastic gown!

agnes said...

how beautiful those rings there! oh my. i have never thought about the engagment ring since it's not very popular here, but i would love to have a simple one, with a touch Sapphire there :)

I've loved that oui ring forever too but in gold. But that would need to be just a fun every day ring--"oui to life". Engagement rings? I used to think a big classic cushion cut but for the last few years I've hankered after the Buccalatti because it's so pretty although not very engagement like. And of course there's always a huge colored stone to consider...

Always loved the "oui" ring, but had never seen the version with it on the outside -- how lovely!

Hello Luphia! I like Dior's "oui" very much indeed. I saw it a few weeks ago and loved it but did not know it was Dior.

I've always love jewelleries! I dont mind splurging my money on them at all! Haha well my ideal engagement ring.. i want a simple one that will always reminds me of my soulmate, my life and my meaning in life i guess. If im rich enough i'll def design my own ring and get it made by someone!

msee said...

i think the oui ring would be just as good as an everyday type of ring. it's so cute, clean and simple. good find!

Anonymous said...

My ideal? A tiffany diamond solitaire: the classic! A big one too--1 carat at least!

of course I'm already married and don't have a diamond at all (we didn't have an engagement, really) but I'm hoping that one of these days he'll surprise me!

rachel kara said...

This post is appealing to 2 of my favourite things love/romance and rings. perfect!

If I got a proposal in the next couple of years that Oui ring would definately be a likely candidate to go on my finger. But it would have to be in gold for me :)
