Country Chic

Hello everyone, hope you all had a good weekend? The paella was quite successful but we were too hungry to take photos first ;) Also watched Bring It On for some silly afternoon humour :D

While I don't consider myself as a country girl at all (I spend most of my life living in flats! With four homes all on the 4th floor? Totally by chance!), but I do love these country chic styling, do you have a bit of a country girl in you?

Put a bit of country in your daily outfits? Work, Casual and Dressy.

{Outfit from left to right: Nathan Jenden Shirt, Roberto Cavalli Belt, ChloƩ Skirt, Oscar de la Renta Shoes; Steven Alan Shirt, Bottega Veneta Belt, Citizens of Humanity Shorts, Marc Shoes; Vera Wang Necklace, Luella Dress, Sergio Rossi Shoes, all from Net-a-porter.com}

I've to say, what a beautiful model. And indeed it's a great style but not totally my cop of tea. I prefer a bit more glam, haha.

I love the Steven Alan shirt. It's exactly what I want to be wearing with jeans on a cool summer night.

Yes, even though I'm more city, I like a little country.... The look -- for both dress and home -- convey such personable style.

Love those MJ sandal boot things :) I am maybe more of a country dresser than city, just because I am more romantic than sleek (despite living downtown). Luckly Vancouver is pretty casual though - actually I just bought off eBay a gingham tank top, so I can't wait to bust that out this summer! yeee-hah!

I was born with precisely this hair and never thought it would become cool one day. But maybe you have to be under 19 to make it work.

I wonder how many people in the country dress like that, it's like when Paris Hilton was on "The Simple Life"

S.Elisabeth said...

I love country style, though I'm definitely not a country girl. Although maybe I liked the stylized country rather than what country style actually is... hmm... Did you see the one in Teen Vogue a few issues back? It was a forties and country mix, I think.

grace said...

what a lovely and charming post!

any purchases yet?

I think we're all a little bit country. most of us who live in the city are dying for a little fresh air and cute gingham, flat shoes and cute gloves for gardening...
