After living in a snowy state for the past 13 years. I def like fake snow better than real snow. The fake snow in the pics remind me of those of holiday tinsel confetti.
This immediately reminded me of the new Star Trek movie. In the extras they discuss how they used film instead of digital, and the film gives a beautiful, natural 'flare' effect. Take a close look at the movie when you watch it!

Yeap...this "fake" snow is pretty to look at. Here is snowing hard now and outside all is pure white color.
I'm preferring this "fake snow" to the real stuff currently torrenting down!
I love these photos! Just waiting for the real thing to start again in London...
Lx
I will take fake snow over real snow anytime! I hate cold & snow. It is currently in the teens in Memphis. BRRRRRR

I love snow whether it's fake or real - such stunning photographs!! :)
How is that effect achieved? Is it the sun ray's reflection against the camera's lens or what?
It's like a combination of snow and Christmas lighting ^^
So pretty... can't quite decide whether it's prettier than the real thing or not... less cold I assume! Happy 2010 btw x
