{Interiors} Fluorescent or Baby Pink

Pink is one of those colours that I loved as a child then grown out of, then fell for all over again recently. While I am not a fan of pink overload (pink everything) I do think a touch of pink in the right places can be so lovely.

This space simply takes my breath away, you probably all know by now I love beautiful white spaces (or if you're new, hello there, nice to see you, ps. I love white spaces :) I just love the way bright shades of pinks, oranges are used agains the simple pure white.

Are you a fun of fluorescent pink or is baby pink more your colour? How about these interiors then...

Which one do you prefer? Touches of the brighter pink or the more subtle & soft pink?

If you're new here - hello :), just to let you know by commenting on any posts this week, you'll be automatically entered into the Weekly Giveaway. xx

love the pink in the fifth picture :)

I do love a softer pink. Although it may be fun to have just one bright pink accent thrown in.

I love pink! But I love it mixed with other colors... in this post I like very much the last two photos! You chose such inspiring photos! =)
Have a great day!

I love the pink in the last picture on the right. I looks so natural and soft. And that wallpaper is amazing!
I have soft pink walls in my bedroom and I love them. They make me feel warm and happy.

OH! My room was pink few days ago, lol. Seriously pink, like... the vivid one, and I got my curtain, bed cover, racks, drawers, all pink!

But then I felt bored, now it's all white! With a little pink here and there, haha... Still can't get enough of it, I think ;p

and those pics you posted make me want to paint my room pink back again, duh!

I especially love the... 7th room, with black sofa and baby pink wall paper, ooo... nice combo!

I totally agree with you. I love white with small touches of pink here and there. That room in the 2nd photo is to die for!

interesting post. you know what..? it's weird how "pinked out" my blog is when in real life, i hardly wear any pink.. and like you said, i have also grown out of it in a way.. in terms of clothes that is. but with my doodles and designs, i still love it =) and can never steer away from it.

then again, i guess they are two different things.

I'll take pink anytime, any shade! I have to have some pink in my everyday life.

i feel the exact same about the color pink as well! i used to be all girly girl and LOVED pink. then hated it because i was tomboy for awhile. and now i love it again :)

i like both the brighter and subtle touches of pink. i think it really depends on my mood.

i also really like that couch with the olive green pillow. another great color, olive green! :)

I love baby pink! Bright pinks aren't my style!

I absolutely adore little bits of pale pink here and there... so sweet.

i love all shades of pink! lol

I think I prefer the softer pink, especially with the greens!

My parents used to have a bright pink bathroom with white and black floor tiles, and i loved it. But they've since painted it a rather boring beige... Gutted. x

Love these pink touches, especially that staircase!

The bright, almost florescent pinks look amazing against all the whites and grays.

I love the 7th pic!

I prefer pink in small doses. Like a light pink feature wall, but then the bright pink as accent accessories like a frame or a vase.

I love a soft blush pink or a peachy pink. I wasn't always a big pink fan (as a little girl red was my favorite color). But I've grown fond of it over the years. Now my daughter wears a lot of pink. And when she gets her own room in a couple years I plan to definitely add some pink mixed with shades of green.

I love the softer pink, but bright pink certainly makes a gorgeous impact when placed correctly.

Lovely interiors and I agree - a touch of pink can be really nice...just adds a great pop!

from the age of very young girl through graduating high school, my bedroom was ALL ABOUT THE PINK. now there isn't one pink thing in our home--and i have 2 girls! go figure.

Blair Friedeman said...

oh, very tough call!! I usually love pale pink but the florescent example you gave are beautiful!

Blair said...

Ooooh they are both so beautiful and different. I'd have to go with the soft pink, though.

Ooh my...I just luv the combination of bright white and bright pink...it looks so clean and crisp together. Just my style!

I love a subtle and soft pink. Great post. I did a post today that is similar but with blues.

We are on the same way length! I did a posting last Thurs. on the newest in "pink" trends. I am really loving it where I thought I NEVER would. I think if I were to choose one though, I'd go for the softer pink. I did finally do a guest room in a hot pink but frankly, don't know how anyone could sleep in there!!
It's very Betsey Johnson (:
I think white is under rated these days...
Thanks for the fun posting!

Subtle soft pink for me. When I first moved into my apartment, I picked the palest pink to paint my bedrooms. It's barely noticeable but quite beautiful.

Christina said...

i love bright, bold colors but i think for this i'm leaning towards the baby pink, although all of the decor is amazing. (maybe i'm on the fence?)

Zuuchini said...

my favorite one is the brown/rose couch with the stairs in the picture. I mean pink can really make a place girl which i like. But too much fluor pink just overwhelms me.

white places are so peaceful...but yet i'll stress out when i have guests around, i would be like "DON"T SPILL ANYTHING! OMG EAT WITH A PLATE!!" and ya....all the craziness

I adore the pink. These are such beautiful homes and interiors!!

The Depressed Yogi said...

i'm a pink enthusiast (pink EVERYthing, but when it comes to interiors, i agree that just a pop of pink in a room can transform it into WOW. i much prefer hot pink/fuschia pops, but pale pink is great for those going for a softer, romantic look.

amy b.s. said...

i partial to the pop of the brighter, louder pink. the softer pink just makes me think of a marshmallow peep. and they scare me a little...

drollgirl said...

oh baby pink all the way, baby! love them.

boy, that sentence up there is dorky. baby?!?!?! anywhoo, i think ya know what i mean!

I'd prefer touches of the brighter pink! But sometimes, too much of pink makes me feel sick haha.

MizzJ said...

Hmm I'd probably rather go for the baby pink since it's a more restful shade, but I can see how splashes of bright pink would be appealing!

I love this, I love pink in interiors

That first set of interiors with the orange is beautiful-- it looks like a photo of a dream, with all that white space! I would probably get it dirty though. Eek.

Lovely photos. I like pink when I see it (if it's not overdone) but I don't think I could make it work for me. Thanks for stopping by The Hill.

the first and the last two pictures are in my favourites. I love the retro feeling they got.

Gorgeous pix, all of them. But I do love the top one, esp, where the chair back has the hot pink and yellow against all that dazzling white.....just lovely.

the last one! it reminds me of a modern marie antoinette setting!

Amanda said...

I love a pop of pink! Any shade will do. x

Rachel said...

definitely the softer pink...but i think it depends on the object. the pink tray in the first pic looks a little too obtrusive and tacky :-(

Diane said...

I love subtle and soft pink over fluorescent pink, just because I think pastel colors always give off the most loveliest hues.

These spaces are gorgeous!

HoneyBunny said...

Wow I love these! I could live in any of these places:D I think I like both hues, but lighter shades probably win;)

Kosmopolight said...

I love the subtle soft pink. Those first few photos you posted are amazing. Lovely post, as always ;)

Amelia said...

I love white spaces, too. When I get my own house, I really want to have an entirely white room to take photos in. That would be wonderful.

ahh i looove interior designs ;]

i once painted my room a color of violet and it looked like a gypsy room with the decorations and everything. now it's white. i never knew my room was that big when it's white. haha

erin said...

well, this wasn't quite the questions, but i love the little brown couch in the last photo--so cute!

Rachel Follett said...

I love both but if I were to use one personally I would choose softer pink.

I think the baby pink suits me more. Like a soft pink peony pinned to the lapel of a white linen blazer.

florescent pink somehow looks cool!

T said...

Those touches of color are so perfect and cute!

Shini said...

I'd go for a softer pink but done in a way that doesn't remind me of hello kitty (puke), maybe mixing brown or a bit of countryside aspect to the furnitures. Again, great topic to be posted about though, it's quite special, I don't see too much pink in interior design!

Anonymous said...

ahhh these are so amazingly beautiful! makes me long for a house like that. i think i like both types of pink-bursts of hot pink and soft pink, too. maybe i think i like the soft pink a little better...

LOVE the first pictures, they caught my eye on Desire to Inspire a bit ago. Pink is the best! I painted my bedroom pink last year and have been loving it.

I love the bright pink! So stunning... but I think I prefer light pink. More relaxing...

Nicole Marie said...

i definitely prefer the small touches of pink. all of these photos are gorgeous though!

May Kasahara said...

neither LOL ♥ if I had to choose I'd say pale.
Pink (and baby blue) are the two colors I can't get with at all.
but that second couch in dark charcoal would be my dream couch.

Can i have a mix of softer pink and bright hot pink togther? Haha no seriously, i can't decide! I love pink! But i guess it depends on the surroundings... :)

The softer pink for sure. Saying "baby" turns me away a little, but I could NOT live with neon colors. Bright, okay; electric smack across the retinas, not.

I love both the soft and bright pink-- they each have their own appeal!

I adore the last four pictures!
